Brooke Anthony | Sales Coordinator

Bio: I remember when I was coming up the hill for my interview thinking, “Oh please God, let me work in this beautiful place”. During my interview, I met with Susan Sokol Blosser and got to share one of my favorite stories in life. It just so happened to take place here at the winery. When Ray Charles came here to play, it was a typical wet Oregon evening. I was helping the local catering crew back stage, along with my Mother and Grandmother. I remember taking my Grandmother by the hand and going back stage to sway to the beat of Ray Charles, my Mother soon joined us. I gazed out at the crowd with their rain ponchos and tarps, still smiling and rocking in the wind and rain. I looked up to the heavens and thanked God for that moment that I was given. I’m thinking Susan must have enjoyed my story because they called me later that day and offered me the position. It’s hard to believe that I have been here since 2004. They had hired me for help in the Accounting office, but I ended up becoming the Cellar Club Coordinator later that year. Being the Cellar Club Coordinator was a lot of fun. It was one of my joys in life to be able to take good care of our members. I loved helping out at the club events, and made great efforts to get to know the members on a personal level. After taking a short leave to become a Mommy, I came back and was offered a position to fit my talents, (and give me time to enjoy some family life too). I am now the Sales Coordinator here at Sokol Blosser. I am kind of the glue of the Local, National, and Export Market. It is really cool to see where in the world we have Sokol Blosser Wine. Our wine is naturally one of my favorites. You would be amazed how much of the world loves us too!

My loves in life are: My child, my sweet man, good food, good wine, chocolate, animals, children and spending time with the people I love. My favorite band of all time is The Beatles.

Hobbies: I love to sing. I used to sing Karaoke a lot, but now I sing to my daughter. Yoga is another one of my favorite things. I love to travel, and hope to be able to travel more in the future, especially to warm and exotic places.

What you like about Pinot Noir: For such a finicky grape, it sure does have a lot of diversity. It amazes me how much one pinot can taste so different from another. I love tasting and comparing.

Favorite Food: Chocolate!! Does that count?? Closely followed by Popcorn (one of my major weaknesses). If I had to pick a meal I would say my grandmother's Lasagna. (I can't wait to learn how to make it myself!!)

Place You'd Like to Travel To: That's a hard one! I would say it's between Tahiti and Italy. There's also Greece, Spain, Ireland, New Zealand, and just about anywhere in the Caribbean.

Favorite Drink Besides Wine: Green tea, I have at least a cup a day.
